The trail begins at the Main Parking Lot at the foot of North Gateway Rock, becomes a loop at the point of Sentinel Rock, passes by Kissing Camels, Pulpit Rock, Three Graces, and Cathedral Spires before the loop ends and takes you back to the Main Parking Lot. The entire trail is one-and-a-half mile length, making it a nice and easy walk for the whole family. Leave a Comment

This is the most challenging trail in the Garden of the Gods. Begins at the South Parking Lot, this 3-mile hike by itself already circles a major part of the Garden, but if you are ambitious enough, you can make it even more interesting by incorporate it with the Scotsman Trail and then extend to the loop of the Siamese Twins Trail. This is the trail to do if you want to see all the rock formation except the Balanced Rock and Steamboat Rock (both are by the side of the vehicular road). Leave a Comment

A bit more challenging, this one-mile rolling and rocky trail in Garden of the Gods originates at the Scotsman Picnic Area, looping around Scotsman Rock and back to the starting point. At two points along the way, the view of the Central Garden can be seen in whole, the way it should be. A camera with a powerful zoom would be very good for opportunity like this. Leave a Comment

Begins at the Garden of the Gods Trading Post, this short 3/4 mile trail doesn't provide much of a view except after the 150-ft vertical rise. At this point, you will see the Siamese Twins Rock standing in the Scotsman Picnic Area. After that, it's an easy downhill walk. For an even shorter hike with a same view of the Siamese Twins Rock, pick up the trail where the loop starts at Spring Canyon Trailhead. Leave a Comment

In order to climb the rocks in Garden of the Gods, one must obtain a free permit from the Visitor Center. The rules state that: -Technical climbing is permitted only on established routes and only in groups of two or more. -Non-technical climbing is not allowed. -Proper climbing equipment is mandatory. -White chalk is not allowed (use eco-chalk instead). A side note: Beware that the rock at the Garden are very soft sandstone, thus need to have enough time to dry out after a rain before any attempt at climbing. Leave a Comment

All over the mountain of Pyke's Peak, there are a lto of creeks in which you can do great fly-fishing. Just remember to take the permission (daily, weekly or more it depends on your needs) in a fishing shop in town if you don't have one. Leave a Comment Theme: Fishing Trips

Explore the outskirts of Colorado Springs. It's an amazing place. There are too many nice hiking tours to mention (Garden of the gods, Pikes Peak,...)
All kinds of hiking gear. Leave a Comment Theme: Hiking

Colorado Springs is close to the Colorado River, which means --> nice rafting!! The river is huge, and during the snowmelt you better be aware when trying to "ride" it!
There are several spots where you can rent the gear and a guide too. The only thing you need to bring are trunks or a swimmsuit (ladies only *lol*). Leave a Comment Theme: Rafting

Rock climbing is allowed in the park, although those wishing to do so are required to stop at the visitor's center and obtain a permit. Be very careful about climbing in this park though, if you're not an experienced climber. The rocks are comprised of red sandstone and can break or crumble easily. Leave a Comment
