by John195123 Well to get to Colorado Springs, you can do a few things. 1. Fly directly in from Dallas or Houston or wherever. 2. Fly in from Denver. 3. Bus (Greyhound) from Denver or Pueblo or wherever you are coming from. 4. Car. If you have a car, the streets are pretty straightforward, at least in downtown COS. When you get to some of the side streets, well, that's another story. There is I-25, the expressway (north-south) and a bunch of other major roads going whereever you need to go. Ask me for more details on how to get places if you want! COS has a decent bus system, which is fairly clean and which I have some experience with. The station is downtown I think on Nevada Ave., and the buses go pretty much all over the major areas of town, as well as some of the smaller areas. Biking is common here, so there are plenty of trails in the area. Leave a Comment Theme: Airplane

If you are trying to get from Denver to Colorado Springs on the transit system, you will take the FREX (front range express bus) which runs from 5am to 8pm and services Downtown Denver, South Denver, Castle Rock (half way point between Denver and Colorado Springs), Monument (15 miles north of Colorado Springs) and finally Downtown Colorado Springs. The cost is 6 dollars and the buses are new and nice. Colorado Springs runs from 5am to 10:30pm, which the Downtown Free Shuttle (Nevada Street from Colorado College to the South Nevada Hotel District) running until 12am on Friday and Saturday nights. Cost is 1.25 Leave a Comment Theme: Bus

Don't plan on taking the bus places. The routes are limited and there just aren't that many buses around. Getting anywhere means getting in the car. Leave a Comment Theme: Car/Motor Home

I work at the hotel and know that there is new service in town for those who don't want or can't rent It's much cheaper than taxi, you can use them for several hours a day, and they will take you wherever you want. Leave a Comment

If you are visiting Colorado Springs, I would highly recommend renting a car, or having one that you can use. The Springs is a very spread out city and I lot of driving is required. With so much to do and so much to see, public transportation would not do the trick. Theme: Car/Motor Home

We drove from Minnesota where we live. There's not much to see going the fastest route, so if you can afford it, fly there. Motorcycle is the best way to see the mountains, I think. We drove our car, but I've been there on my Harley in 1987, and it was great. Leave a Comment Theme: Airplane

The best way to get TO and AROUND Colorado Springs is by car. Simply because there is hardly any public transport in this town. So come by car. It's also by far the best way to explore the beautiful surroundings of this area. Leave a Comment Theme: Car/Motor Home
