Inside of Gov's Park, Denver by tejanasueca This is one of my favorite places in Denver. It doesn't get too crowded, you don't have to go all the way downtown, they show sports on the TV monitors, and some nights they have trivia games going. Most of the seating is in nice comfortable boots, and there is also a nice patio. This is a perfect place to go to after work for "Happy Hour." Essentially, if you go out for a drink during the middle of the week, this place is perfect. Wynkoop Brewery, Denver by tejanasueca This is the oldest brewery in Denver, or at least that's what they say... One of its owners is John Hickenlooper, who in 2003 was elected mayor of Denver. This is a big place with a little bit of everything. The entry floor holds a couple of big bars, and upstairs there are plenty of pool tables. For more info, go to their website. The place is rather nice, but because it's so big it doesn't have the cozy feeling. No cover charge. Fado's, Denver by tejanasueca I have actually never been here at night, as the European Soccer matches usually come on in the morning due to the time difference. The place does attract other Europeans at these odd hours though, which creates a great atmosphere. WARNING: When certain games are on, the cover charge is pretty high. During Euro04, the cover charge was $20 (which did not guarantee a place to sit) Leave a Comment

B52, Denver by tejanasueca This place has a little bit of everything. Upstairs is area with more fast beat music and a dance floor (this is the area referred to as "Red Monkey") and a section with several pool tables. Downstairs there are more pool tables, fussball tables, a big patio, and the remnants of an actual B52 airplane! Oh yeah, did I mention; no cover charge!!! The Soiled Dove, Denver by tejanasueca This is one of my favorite places to go to during the summer. The area when you first walk in is not all that great, but head up the stairs right away. There is a nice patio up there with a bar. Enjoy views of Denver and Coors Field. (no cover) Leave a Comment Theme: NightclubAddress: 1949 Market St.Directions: LoDo (Lower Downtown)

Stadium Inn, Denver by tejanasueca Alright, this bar is really chill. We used to go here after playing soccer (right afterwards, no showers) and split a few pitchers of beer. The place is not super nice and clean, but neither were we! Hence, this is the place to go to if you want a study break but don't feel like dressing up just to go for a couple of beers. Hansons', Denver by tejanasueca Cute little neighborhood bar where you can meet up for dinner (ask for specials) or just for drinks. Sit at a table, the patio, or the bar downstairs (some nights a local band will play downstairs). Head up stairs for couches, fussball table, and pool tables. It is possible to reserve the upstairs for special events.
Well, I guess shirt and shoes are probably required... Leave a Comment Theme: OtherAddress: 1301 S Pearl StPhone: (303) 744-1052Directions: 10min south of downtown. South of I-25.

the OSS by caffeine_induced78 As the locals in my Neighberhood call it - it's the "OSS." Deals, specials and weekly events happen here every night of the week. Sunday is trivia night, Tuesday is taco night. Taco night for me ends when karaoke begins - then I'm out. Happy hour is from 2 to 4 every afternoon. The food is pretty good, not just the average greasy bar food. Try some of the Greek menu items - some of the best in Denver.

The Hornet by caffeine_induced78 This is a very popular dining and drinking spot on South Broadway. It offers a great Breakfast menu in the morning and later progresses to Dinner food. They also have a long bar, two pool tables, and a jutebox. On weekends you can often catch local bands playing late into the night - at these times the bar can become rather packed.

The Mayan by caffeine_induced78 If you are in Denver and have an interest in films slightly more intellectually stimulating than "Jackass - the Movie," then go to the Mayan. They play foreign films and other movies that don't get the media hype that the big budget films receive. Ticket prices are 8 dollars but earlier matinee prices are available. An air-conditioned movie theatre may be just what you are looking for on those hot summer days.
