El Taco De Mexico: Very authentic Mexican food! The the menu was pretty much all in Spanish. The people were nice and friendly. The place is hard to miss - it is BRIGHT YELLOW. You can eat at the counter or booth or do take out. Very inexpensive.
Few local Mexican restaurants match the authenticity of El Taco de Mexico, which serves mouthwatering cuisine right down the rice and beans. Order anything you can with green chili, a spicy concoction that you'll sop up with the last bit of tortilla. Try mini tacos on a double corn tortilla, stuffed with anything from beef to fried pork to brains. Order soft chili rellenos, rich enchiladas or hefty burritos. Wash it down with the sweet rice drink horchata, or one of several liquados de fruitas.

Favorite Dish: Well, I have only tried chicken dishes, since chicken is one of the few Spanish words I know, and I'm not up to trying pork brains! But I loved everything I had. The green chili is really great! They also serve breakfast all day.
Just a note, last I knew they only take cash.

No margaritas, no mariachi bands, no campy mexican decore. Maybe that is because they don't serve Tex-Mex to gringos here and call it Mexican food. It looks like a converted fast food restaraunt but when I went at one in the afternoon this place was full of young working men. It seemed half of them spoke only English and the other half spoke Spanish. Nothing is fancy here but the food is great. Word is starting to spread through Denver about this place.

Favorite Dish: The Chile Relanjos Burrito smothered in Green Chile sauce. Something about this spicey burrito went down really smooth - I think maybe they put huevos (eggs) in it.
