Go at night! The only reason I say this is because the crowds have died down and you can really experience the exhibits. My favorite part is when you can "pet" the stingrays. They allow you to buy little fish that you feed them and they are so friendly, they'll come right up and eat them out of your fingers. It's an enjoyable experience. It's great for a date night, especially once all of the children have gone home, and you pretty much have the aquarium to yourselves. You can easily steal kisses in the exhibits, it can be quite romantic.
The aquarium is a bit pricey. I think it was around $15 a person, but it is a really nice aquarium and worth the cost. There is also a bar inside and drinks are reasonable. You can view one of the large tanks from the bar and don't need to pay admission if just heading in for a drink. Sun-Thurs 10-9 Fri & Sat 10-9:30
I used to think that the Ocean Journey Aquarium was overrated, but I have since changed my mind. Awhile back they remodelled stuff, got new fish, some more tigers....well..the place just looks fabulous. There is even now a restaurant with this huge aquarium in the middle. You can watch the sharks swim by as you nibble on fish and chips, drink a cappucino, or even try some yummy creme brulee.
Colorado Ocean Journey, which opened in June 1999, is a world-class aquarium that immerses visitors on two journeys, from the Continental Divide in Colorado to Mexico's Sea of Cortez, and the other from an Indonesian rain forest to the Pacific Ocean. The Rocky Mountain West's only aquarium will also show visitors how all water and water life are inter-related.
There is even a sea otter cove, home to two Southern sea otters, Gracie and Taylor, two orphans of a storm who were rehabilitated but could no longer survive in the wild.
Not only is it a fun place, it's also educational...hey, kill two birds with one stone.

A great place for kids and adults. There is the Colorado River Journey and the Indonesian River Journey. In the Indonesian River Journey there are two Sumatran Tigers that you can see. They are absolutly Beautiful tigers. It also explores the rainforest in Indonesia. In the Colorado River Journey it shows you all kinds of fish and creatures you would find in the rivers. There is also an Otter pond and there was a new addition this year. I found this place very interesting and educational.
