Favorite thing: On the southwest side, where the road splits to lead south towards another eastside entrance and the other road continues directly into the National Park and the Beaver Meadow Visitor Center is National Park Village. Full supplies, a very nice restaurant and some interesting store surrounding it.

Favorite thing: THE BIGHORN RAM IS THE STATE ANIMAL OF COLORADO AS WELL AS THE MASCOT OF COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY IN FORT COLLINS.
THIS RAM STANDS GUARD AT THE EAST END OF ELKHORN AVENUE. YOU PASS IT AS YOU ENTER THE DOWNTOWN SECTION OF ESTES PARK.

Favorite thing: I really like the fact that you see nature and can breathe the air God intended us to breathe in, not that nasty city stuff. One is able to get out of their car and walk around on paths and see waterfalls and wildlife. It is great!
Fondest memory: While we were driving back, there was a herd of big deer (antelopes?), and we could drive right next to them. It was so cool to be so close to these animals surrounded by the mountains.

Favorite thing: Try to rent a 4x4 car, a pick-up and drive an unpaved road from Estes Park to the top of the Mountain Divide. it is a very bautiful land scape and it is safe.
I was there without jacket, and it is very cold even in summer. but the greatest thing in my opinion is the elevation, almost 4000 m above the sea level (12,000 feet), when i walked i felt tired afted one minute (and i use to run daily, even marathon).
In the top, two roads merge, the interstate one, and the unpaved i mention.
The shop in there hire a lot of foreign students in the summer, and they work only 6 hours a day due to the elevation
Fondest memory: I was only one day in Denver, was crowd of homeless, but I like a lot...clean..and a spirit of the far west.
