 | Fort Collins Restaurants | Tips 21 - 30 of 57 | | Clean - creative - classy! What more could you want from a restaurant/deli or caterer. Fiona's Deli has it all, in combinations you wouldn't have expected. My personal favorite is listed below, but I venture away from that one at times because the house-smoked salmon is simply to die for! Fiona's caters, too! And they do it beautifully!

Although a touch out of the lime-light as far as Mexican restaurants go in Fort Collins, Inca Mexican is not to be missed. A very cute atmosphere with colorful walls and paintings.
The crab enchiladas were outstanding! Very tender and fresh REAL crab meat shredded into the corn coatings with red sauce. It comes with rice and beans and is quite good for the money. Everyone in Ft. Collins the that the Rio is the place to go for margaritas, but I'd have to disagree! Inca has big, flavorful and strong margaritas that come in a few different flavors. The food is resonably priced and extremely tasty. The service is fast and friendly, and there's virtually never a wait for a table.
I always start dinner with a margarita. Lately I like the peach, frozen with sugar on the rim, but regular and strawberry are good too. The quesadilla's are huge and are perfect for sharing. I'm also a fan of the shredded beef chimichangas and the cheese enchiladas. There is a KMart and a King Soopers. Inca sits in that same center, facing College.

The Island Grill serves carribean/american fare in an out of the way location that is easy to miss. The ambience is that of an island tiki bar combined with a sports bar. The grill is split into three areas including a patio, a main dining area and a pool hall. There are several TVs showing different games and sporting events. I however come for the food.
While the Grill seems to lean heavily on dishes showcasing shrimp, my party ordered the steak fajita tacos (tender steak served with lettuce, tomatoes, rice, beans, and pico de gallo), the Ma Hi Tacos (jerked, grilled, or blackened, we had ours jerked with cabbage, melon salsa, rice and beans), and a Big Island Burger made to order with green chili, jalapenos, and pepper jack cheese (with standard accompaniments and sweet potato fries). Everything seemed dome to perfection. The burger was medium well and juicy and the tacos were fantastic. Props for the cabbage on the fish! The atmosphere is not my fave and I'm guessing that it may get rowdy on a Saturday night, but for a lunch time treat, I highly recommend the Island Grill. It also appears they have expanded to Greeley! Leave a Comment

Everything looks great here, but the (award-winning) fish tacos are so amazing, I can never force myself to order anything else!

The breakfasts here are fabulous and huge! Honestly, most would easily serve two people. Whatever you do, don't miss the melt-in-your-mouth buttermilk biscuits.

Yes, I have several pizza tips on my Ft. Collins page (What did you eat when you were in college?) Old Chicago is a chain that is most prevalent throughout the central US. There are two locations in Ft. Collins, I've only been to the one in Old Town. There's a livelier crowd here, and you're right around the corner from Walrus Ice Cream (see my other restauant tips.) The pizza at Old Chicago is pretty good - you'll have your standard choices of toppings and crusts. The unique feature of Old Chicago is their beer list - they have over 110 different beers to choose from. They call this the World Beer Tour, and you can get a card to mark off the beers as you try them. Try them all, get your name on the wall :) They also have your standard selection of appetizers and other Italian salads and dishes. Service is good, and you don't have to worry about bringing the kids - definitely a family atmosphere.
The pizza of course! It's "Old Chicago", so try the deep dish. You can't go wrong with "The Classic" (pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, and garlic) or the Chicago 7 (sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, black olives, green peppers, red onions and Mozzarella). Leave a Comment

great deck, nice staff, many menu items are TERRIBLE. (e.g., they recently used what seemed like "sloppy joe" mix for the beef in a beef quessadilla.)

You know you like burritos, tacos, etc. that you can find at Taco Bell, Del Taco, El Pollo Loco, etc. However, this place provides you with better food, at about the same price that you would spend on 4-5 bean burritos or 3-4 hard tacos. Qdoba is a Colorado-based quick-casual food company (like Chipotle Burritos) that serves descent Tex-Mex food if you have to eat on the run. You won't find ground meat here, it's all shredded steak or chicken. The veggies are usually fresh Bright interiors, interesting 'southwestern' colors, touches of brushed steel throughout the store, and of course the neon signs that requirements for almost all fast-food restaurants.
My favourite dish is the Steak taco salad. You get all the goodness of a salad (greens and other veggies) and you get a good 'southwestern' taste with the cubed steak and a good salad dressing. Plus, with a drink it all rounds out to few dimes under 7 bux. I love going to Rasta Pasta on a summer night for dinner, not only is the food great but the atmosphere is wonderful! A pretty recent article from the Coloradoan... "The good folks at Rasta Pasta have a fresh outlook on food — make it unique and it will sell. And this strategy has worked well for the nearly 10 years the restaurant has been open in Old Town. The cuisine is a little bit Italian, a little bit Caribbean and a little bit of something you’ve never experienced before. The staff is very representative of the Rastafarian way of life — enjoy the music, enjoy the food, just kick back and relax, man. But just because they are very chilled out doesn’t mean they aren’t paying attention to your needs. Your drinks are never empty, even when your belly is full and you need a handcart to get you to your car. The menu isn’t the only unique thing at Rasta Pasta. Walking through the front doors is much like stepping into a Bob Marley album cover. The dining room is full of colorful art, wall hangings, table coverings and an eclectic mix of music. The bar resembles a tiki bar complete with bamboo wall coverings and a grass hut topper. Want to wash down your Natural Mystic (chicken and penne pasta with pineapple curry sauce) with something other than your standard soda or water? Rasta Pasta has a huge selection of domestic and imported beers, wine and mixed drinks. So whether you crave the unique, the exotic or just want some spicy spaghetti, hit up Rasta Pasta. Its wide variety of dishes will fill your stomach and recharge your creative juices."
The Chicken Montego Bay is AWESOME! It is made with penne pasta and jerk chicken, pinapple, basil and vegetables sauteed in a white wine and light alfredo sauce.
