Another comparison: After being in Switzerland, the lack of public transportation in Colorado is astounding.
Yes, there is a bus or two... they'll get you from old town to the megastores on South College and back. Honestly, I don't think they go anywhere else.
Nothing to Denver. They've been talking about putting in a light rail system for about 20 years.... not happening.
So if you don't have a car, you need a bicycle, or feet. At least the weather is conducive to these options more often than not. And most streets have some sort of bike lane.
If you do have a bike, also take advantage of the bike paths than run the periphery of the city. They are the most aesthetic option when you have some time (these deserve more space, so I'll write more in another tip). Leave a Comment Theme: Other

Without bothering your friends or family, you can drive in the comfort of your own car to the airport without paying outrageous parking fees.
This is a great alternative to cramped shuttles which make you conform to their time schedule.
