by Astrobuck Colorado has some very nice breweries. My favorite Colorado Beer is Pass Time. Pass Time is a Pale Ale, not very hoppy, and very smooth, medium golden in color. I highly recommend it should you visit here. You can find it in most liquor stores and grocery stores. It runs about $6 for a six-pack. Other Colorado beers you may find are singletrack and Avalanche, but Pass Time is by far the best in my opinion. Brewed in Boulder. Leave a Comment

by Astrobuck When camping, especially at state parks, take advantage of what is offered, like bear food lockers (green box pictured here...check the warnings and dangers page for more information about this). There is also hiking, guided tours, or nature walks. These are very fun and educational.
I live here. Leave a Comment

by Faustinah Wolfe Tattoo is owned and operated by Lynette Wolfe, tattoo artist. It is located in Pueblo, Co. off Santa Fe and 3rd. Lynette Wolfe is an awesome artist. I've received tattoos from several artists and she is, by far, the most skilled. I'm a little biased since she is my best friend. Call for an appointment...719-583-1INK(583-1465). My husband and two children by grandmaR The Continental Divide (water falling on one side will go toward the Atlantic and on the other side will go to the Pacific) runs right down the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. We traveled through Colorado by car twice in 1964 on our way to California. The first time we were driving our 1932 Plymouth and we went across Berthoud Pass which was the lowest one. The second time we were moving from Norfolk with our children, and we crossed at Loveland Pass just west of Bakersville in the winter of 1964
My now-deceased uncle never liked the east coast of the US because he couldn't see the sky and sun (due to trees and clouds) and he hated the fogs on the west coast around SF. He said he was always able to tell where he was if he could see the mountains. And in Colorado, you always can. Leave a Comment

by Yosemite_44 Colorado is famous for its scenery. You can either drive through the Rocky Mountains or go hiking there. You also want to enjoy the larger cities (Denver, Colorado Springs, Boulder) and do some of the activities I will describe.
* Colorado Rockies Game * Trail Ridge Road through Rocky Mountain N.P. * Denver & Boulder * Amusement parks: Six Flags, WaterWorld * Garden of the Gods & Cave of the Winds Leave a Comment

Clear creek and a casino by caffeine_induced78 The old mining towns in Colorado faced death because of declining mining revenue. In the early 1990's the voters stepped in and legalized limited gambeling in the towns of Cripple Creek (near Colorado Springs), Blackhawk, and Central City (both near Denver). Here you can play Blackjack (aka twentyone), video slots and poker. Driving through these towns I have mixed emotions because so much of the historical character has been lost. That and it was the quickest 5 dollars i've ever lost. Leave a Comment

Warming up at the oven and nightly entertainment by KaiM Thanksgiving 2000 (see photos). I stayed in Alma (south of Breckenridge) in a small hut with some friends. We boarded in Breck, Keystone and Loveland and also did some cross country skiing. The evenings we spent in front of a fire, with a guitar and some beer. The hut was so small. The two girls I went with got the bedroom. The bed in there originally came from an old whorehouse of the 1800´s. I slept in a closet. Well, actually it was more like a small room filled with old furnitures, dozens of skis and a small bed in the corner. This trip was awesome. For Thanksgiving dinner we were invited to other friends for a big turkey dinner. Great!!!! Leave a Comment

by nieldy The blond mullet (rare even in the 80's) you can glimpse belongs to Paul Osterberg, one of my travelling companions on this trip. He had the biggest calves I've seen on an ordinary human being. I'm only sorry I didn't photograph these freakish wonders to convince you. Leave a Comment

by nieldy There's a glacier located in the saddle between 2 hills. I think the walk we went on took is onto that glacier. We definitely got onto one, because I remember feeling that I'd never make to the top, when the top came to me! The details, though, are a little hazy with the passage of time. Hence part of the reason for creating these pages. The other part, obviously being the idea of sharing travel stories and tips. Leave a Comment
