On the main drag in town you'll find Cascades. A rustic gift shop specializing in local arts and crafts, bath and body luxuries, and books by local writers. The local staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The gifts found here are well-priced and very unique. If you're looking to take a little bit of this quaint mountain town home with you look no further than Cascades.
What to buy: I bought a fantastic hand blown goblet, unlike anything I've ever seen before, made by a local artist. My mom found an unique frame to take home and showcase a picture from our Rocky Mountain adventures.
What to pay: My goblet was $15 US.

Columbine Lake is located near Grand Lake and Rocky Mountain National Park. It's a small lake bordered by cabins - mostly residential. On an average summer day you can find neighbors out on the lake in canoes, fishing off the numerous piers or just relaxing on the shore. The community house has a pool and game room, but is only available for residents of the community. It's a peaceful neighborhood conducive to kayaking, hiking and 4 wheeling. It's a wonderful retreat from the chaos of everyday life.
