Well almost...the only public transportation in Greeley is the City Bus known as GET. The bus pass is somewhat pricey in comparison to other similar sized cities and rarely on time. Or at least when I did use the bus it was nearly 20 mins late. Apparently they have a fairly small fleet of buses and most were under repair during my visit. As far as taxies there are none, they need to come from another city to provide service in Greeley which means your wait time is nearly 1 - 2 hours depending how far the cab driver is willing to drive from.
I suggest you get a hotel near your destination or event and walk there, or rent a car and have fun finding parking down town.

My sister, VTer PeachiTish, has used The Bus for the past couple of years. As a University Student, using her student ID, she can ride for FREE! The routes cover the town well, and are easy to navigate, they even dip into the neighboring town of Evans!
Rates are quite reasonable: 1$ per adult, and duirng the summer kids and teens can ride for 10cents a trip! There is also a bike and ride option whereby one can put their bike on the bus' bike rack for a trip.
All in all, a great option for those who can't, or won't, drive.

The street layout in Greeley is confusing to the visitor ..... a lot of numbered streets and you can get confused easily :)
Street run east / west and Avenues run north / south [memory trick: eaST and STreet] ... so it's common to have a direction like 'the corner of 8th and 8th'. This becomes easier as you begin to navigate :)

I'm researching the Mexican Bus ... I think it's name is El Paso-Los Angeles Limo Service. Its route is from El Paso Tx, through various NM cities, continues up I-25 past Denver and up to Greeley Colorado and beyond. The prices are cheap ... 50$, and since I only know 'spanglish', I haven't gotten info except from family members who have taken this route ..... so more later as I get the details :)

Drive here from one of the airports. You can always get here, from Denver or anywhere west or south of here, by somehow getting on northbound I-25 and then onto US 34 bypass.
Transportation here SUCKS. Find your own car or a bike, but Greeley is not bike-friendly. Even skates are great. The Bus isn't all that great, and that's why I say that it sucks. The last two times I've taken the bus, they're had to re-route or give me several different transfers. Some bus drivers are either really rude, kinda ignorant, or if you're lucky ... extremely nice.
