Saw these colorful poppies alongside the road in Green Mountain Falls. Could not resist the photo opportunity. For some reason, flowers just seem prettier in these mountain communities.

The city park is small, but neat. The focal point is the pond (or do they call it a lake). Either way, it's a nice place to chill, take a little stroll, relax, and if you're traveling with kids, let them run off some energy.

Lakeside Cottages: pikes peak trip
