HERE ARE FIVE RANDOM SNAPSHOTS I TOOK OF THE TOWN WHERE MY WIFE AND I LIVED FOR ONE YEAR WAY BACK IN 1970.

I really recommend taking the Julesburg exit on I-76 and pulling into the welcome center on the west side of the road just north of I-76. Even if you don't plan to go on into Julesburg itself, this is an exceptionally nice welcome center and is a great place to take a break from the interstate driving.
They usually have freshly brewed coffee waiting for you. Its free, but you can leave a donation if you like.
YOU CAN GO UP IN the tower (see photo) and look around the countryside for miles.

Fondest memory: We happened to drive by this house in the countryside northwest of Julesburg (and north of Ovid). It is not a dollhouse; someone lives there. Very well maintained, it sort of symbolizes a simpler lifestyle. Just don't make the mistake of thinking that means the people are simple; they are not.
