La Jara Travel Guide

There is a lot of wildlife in the San Luis Valley. Here are some photos a few of the many wildlife we have. But please don't feed the animals when you see them, because then there natural eating habits will become extinct.

Favorite thing: This is my hometwown. I was raised on farm in the country, but still travel so I'm not isolated. La Jara is a town of about 2,000 people. Don't blink or you'll miss it. There is not much to see hear except for the beautiful mountains surrounding our valley. There is also the Great Sand Dunes which are about an hour drive from La Jara. The Jack Demsey museum is in Manassa, which is about 9 miles from La Jara.

Fondest memory: I definitely miss the quietness of La Jara when I am away. I also miss the beautiful sunsets and most importantly my family.
