    A MAN NAMED GEORGE STEARLY BUILT THIS, THE FIRST FRAME HOUSE IN LAPORTE. His great-granddaughter became my wife.

    The house still stands and is occupied. It is right across the street from the post office.

    JUST DRIVING PAST THE OLD FARM TO SEE HOW IT IS DOING. It is no longer in my wife's family, but the buildings are mostly all the same.
