by Astrobuck This is by far the best Asian restaurant in Colorado Springs. Japanese, Mongolian, and Chinese cuisine. The atmosphere is that of any Chinese restaurant, but they serve all you can eat sushi and all you can eat Chinese buffet. For two people, the tab runs about $25 US counting the tip. by Astrobuck This restaurant located downtown, was an old Railroad station/depot in the early days. It has since been converted into a restaurant. Although you eat at a window booth with a view of the railroad, hardly any trains come by. As far as the service and food go, the service is great, but the salad bar could use some work (I have to have my pepperoni and sunflower seeds, sorry). Prices are about average. There are also lots of pictures of how the place used to look years ago and it's historical significance. by Astrobuck This restaurant puts Olive Garden to shame. Simply because they do what Olive Garden used to do, and that is give you very generous helpings. Zio's has everything from REAL meat and cheese ravioli, tortellini, stromboli, you name it, it's probably there. Complete with a salad, and fresh hot baked bread and butter (they even have this cinnamon type butter that is out of this world)!! It is a little expensive, but it is well worth it.

by Astrobuck OK, well, I think I have found something that may actually beat Zio's! Great food, great service. When you walk in, the host or hostess will escort you through the kitchen (why, I have no idea, but they mentioned something to the extent that they wanted us to see it....?) There is also a lot of old pictures from the 1950's and a lot of Pope stuff. One additional tidbit: If you eat here, please go to the restroom. All I can say is, the pictures are well...um...interesting. Lets just say, everyone bears all in them, and I'll just leave it at that. A great experience all together. Please, don't forget the restroom!

This is a really nice tiny restaurnat located in the River Center shopping center just within the city limits of Pagosa Springs. They serve everything from hot dogs to sausage biscuits. Pretty reasonably priced, and the people are very nice and helpful. Pahaska Tepee by Astrobuck No it's not a tepee! It is a restaurant, and a good one at that. Unfortunately, it has changed quite a bit since I first ate here in 1998. For one, the prices have gone up (no big surprise there), secondly, they no longer carry Duffy's Famous Root Beer (what a bummer. They have Duffy's Root Beer Floats, but no bottled....kind of strange, but OK...I can go along with that).
You can get a Buffalo Burger with chips for 6.95. A total meal here will cost you about $9.50 US. After you exit, follow the signs to Buffalo Bill's Gravesite. The restaurant and the Museum are all located at the same place.

by Astrobuck Normally, I don't put restaurant chains on here because, well, they just aren't as good (in other words, there will be no Mcdonalds on here!!). However, when I ate at Pei-Wei (pronounced "pay-way"), I had no idea that #1: It was an actual restaurant chain, and #2: It was downright good!!

by Astrobuck This place has the best breakfast I have tried yet!! It's a small place, with a lot of New York City decor (hence the name, "Broadway Deli"). When I was here several weeks ago, I tried the "Eggel Bagel," which is your choice of plain, onion, and some other type of bagel I can't recall. Abosultely good. If you don't try this place, you will miss out. by Astrobuck This place has really good barbecue. You can order ribs, chicken, mashed potatoes, baked beans, etc. All meals come with onion strings and corn muffins. Very good indeed. A little pricy, but good nonetheless.

by Astrobuck Did the title throw you off? Well, I'm not sure if it is, but we went there one night to the restaurant. The food was absolutely wonderful, but we didn't stay here. In any case, as we walked in to go to the restaurant, the receptionist led us to the restaurant through the Inn...he told us right out of the blue "Alice is still with us here in spirit...her picture is right over there on the wall." We weren't sure how to take it, but we decided to eat here anyway. The food was spectacular, and the service wonderful. We were even allowed to self tour the Inn on our own! It looks nice, and we may stay here sometime. The Inn and the restaurant both used to be a house back in the 19th century. In the picture, the building on the left is the Inn, the one on the right is the restaurant. They are linked together. By the way...we never saw Alice......
Tortellini in white wine sauce. Very good. Leave a Comment
