There are few supermarkets in Telluride and the products are very pricy.
Probably this makes part of the exclusivity of the town :-)
One of the supermarkets even has wall to wall carpeting instead of tiles as floor covering. Luxury? In every way not hygienic!
In that same supermarket the potatoes were bow tied and sold singly :-)
(Telluride has ATMs everywhere)
Fun Alternatives: We found the "Village market" at the corner of Fir and Pacific the best option for quality and prices.
They have an expanded variety of speciality and organic foods as well as sandwiches and ready-to-eat meals.
At Pacific Ave and Fir Street (not 1st St) is a cute typical oldschool Telluride looking restaurant porch for "Baked in Telluride".
I wouldn't let my dog eat their scraps. Well, OK, dog doesn't get ANY people food anyway, but still.
Unique Suggestions: Barf immediately after eating.
Fun Alternatives: The Taco Cart at Main Street (Colorado Ave) and Spruce St (closed there), South side of st.
