This is a wonderful event spread over two days. It features Tibetan musical talents, Tibet food, bizaar, Prayer sessions, Dharma teachings and photography art exhibitions. A sand mandala is greated. The Monk's began working on this I believe Tuesday or Wednesday.
There are also some great organizations like Tibetan Home of Hope and others that provided information on their efforts to provide schools and residence to orphans and Nomad's throughout Tibet.
More information is provided in the Travelogue section and check out the videos I uploaded.
A lot of work goes into making this happen. The organizer depends on volunteers for everything. Although the two year prior the festival did not happen, I hope this event continues to be an annual festival. I know I greatly appreciate the effort. By the way, there is a $10 fee per day for the event.
We stopped for lunch in Kent and also strolled down Main street--lots of little shops here.
Favorite Dish: We had a delicious French onion soup, followed by a fabulous grilled gorgonzola and beef sandwich for lunch. Yum!
