Fairways at the Griff, Greenwich

Fairways is the resturant of the Griff Country Club. We came here for a party to celebrate on of Liz's co-workers retirement. The place was bad; typical country club atmosphere but too small of a room to hold all the people in my opinion. We started with the cocktail hour on the inclosed terrace area. It was pretty good with some nice appetizers; shrimp coktail, baked clams, freid zuccini and some crudites. Dinner was buffet style with: chicken marsala, beef and mushrooms, twice baked potatoes, string beans, penne vodka, caesar salad and bread. The penne vodka was actually quite nice but I could leave the other items. For dessert there was chocolate mousse cake and cheesecake. The chocolate mousse cake was very good but too rich to eat the entire serving.

It was a nice night with some fun people. I wouldn't imagine coming back her just for dinner since the food was just okay in my opinion.

Favorite Dish: Penne Vodka and the chocolate mousse cake.
