    Walking Around Downtown Greenwich

    by cjg1 Written Apr 20, 2009

    2 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Greenwich is full of areas that are not walkable: no side walks, private roads, wooded areas etc. The part of Greenwich that is walkable is Greenwich Avenue and Putnam Avenue (US!). there are sidewalks hee that make it easy to walk from shop to shop. Greenwich Avenue and Putnam Avenue have many shops and restaurants. I would suggest parking on one of the side streets off of Greenwich Avenue to avoid metered parking and then walk the Avenue. Greenwich Avenue is pretty long and to walk from the top to the bottom is a long down hill adventure.
