Hammonasset Beach State Park,
is more than just another day at
the beach.
The park offers over 2 miles of
beach to enjoy swimming, strolling
along the boardwalk, or just relaxing
in the sun and surf.

Lenny and Joe's Fish Tales: Seafood in the Middle of Where??

Lenny and Joe's is recommended in the USA edition of 1000 Things to See Before You Die. It did have some good shrimp but I was blown away by the atmosphere at this BUSY, family fun restaurant.

I went here around 5-7pm on a summer night. WOW, bad timing. There were millions of people here and the lines were just crazy. You have to check the picture out. Anyways, I eventually walked up to the mass and eventually made it up to a person taking orders. Because there were so many people I decided to order mine to go. Then took it back to the hotel.

HOWEVER, if you stay I'm sure you'll enjoy a fun experience (if there's room for you). Indoors there are lots of tables to eat at. Outdoors there are even more picnic tables and a carousel to ride. The carousel rides are $1 and all the proceeds go to charity. There is also a play area for children and a little hut to get some frozen desserts.

Favorite Dish: I got the whole crab and fried shrimp. The crab wasn't that good in my opinion but I loved the shrimp.
