Other Locations Visited
The Eastwood Movie Theater
Located on Main Street, in East Hartford Center.
The Astor Movie Theater
Also located on Main Street, in East Hartford Center.
The Burnside Movie Theater
Located on Burnside Avenue, just past the center of Burnside. I remember the managers name was Barney. This was about a mile from the Village and we used to walk to and from this Theater. (some of us).
The Burnside Drug Store
Was run by Jonney Kocum. And was located on Burnside Avenue, in the center of Burnside. This was the nearest Drug Store to the Village, and I'm sure almost everyone purchased their prescriptions from there.
The Burnside Hardware
Was run by Harry Ravalese. And was also located on Burnside Avenue, in the Center of Burnside. This was the nearest Hardware store to the Village, and I imagine this is where our Mother's and Father's went to get their items of need.
Polowitzer's Package Store
Located at 974 Burside Ave. Which at the corner of Burnside Ave and Long Hill Drive. They supplied and delivered most of their goods, to the Village Drinkers. My neighbor Roland Creapo used to do the delivering for them.

The Local Gas Station
Favorite thing: Molinski's Mobil Station.
Located at # 1083 Burnside Ave.(bottom of the village).
Frank Molinski (owner), Frank Rollerson, Dick Crowley, Bill Croulik, (were the attendants there). This was the nearest Garage available to get any work done on your auto.
And we always cut through the Station on our way to Bergren's Dairy.
Bergren's Dairy
Went out of business in the 60's I believe, and was replaced by Generis Caterers. The picture to your left is showing the Generis Caterer's Building, which is located on the Old Bergren's Dairy's Site, you'll recognize the location. ( many of us spent a lot of time there).
