Milford Things to Do

  • Connecticut Post 14 Cinema De Lux

The Connecticut Post 14 Cinema is located inside the Westfield Shopping Center directly up the escalator from the food court. Its a really nice movie theatre showing all the recent relases and some in digital 3-D. Milford Restaurants

  • Trying Out Some Wings

Belive it or not but my wife suggested we go here after work one day. I was in the mood for some Chicken Wings and I'm never truly happy with what's available locally. My wife suggested Hooter's since they are known for their wings even though most men go there for the waitresses. This place is not far from home so we headed off for some food. The...

  • A Bear would have tasted better....

Bear & Grill is a place we often passed by on the Post Road but never ventured into until recently. It was a Friday night and we had both had a long week at work and wanted something to eat. We came upon this joint after some of our favorites were too crowded for us to wait. The place has a rustic décor; resembling the inside of a log cabin. The...

  • Good Pizza

The Colony Grill is a local joint located in the heart of the town of MIlford right off the green. This is one of three locations in Connecticut; the other two being in Stamford and Fairfield. • Once Good Food is Now Inedible

This place did have good food but now the food is horrible; actually it is inedible. My wife and I recently came here for dinner and it was downright foul. The salad was rancid, the pasta was mush, the sauce was foul. Never will we come back to this place which is a shame; it was once an awesome dining establishment.

  • Incredibly Good Pancakes

Chips is hands down our favorite place to have a good pancake meal at any time of the day (they serve brekfast all day long). The restaurant is located right on Boston Post Road so it is an easy on off of I-95 to stop for a tasty meal; especially if you are passing through the area on I-95. We live in the area so you can usually find us here on a...

  • Delicious and Authentic

Hands down this is my favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. My wife and I first discovered this place after a co-worker of hers suggested we try it out. The restaurant is located in a small strip mall on the Post Road in Milford. The interior is a nice size with plenty of tables throughout; even some for large parties of more than ten people.The...

  • Our Favorite pub in Milford

This is our favorite pub here in Milford. Ferni jokes that if we lived in this town, we would be here every single weekend, that is how much we enjoy our time here. The bar maids are great, Stacey, Maureen, "ditzy" and Rena are all great. The place has a nice layout, with a nice size dinning area with plenty of tables and booths (some by large...

  • Women's Shoes & Accesories

Baker's carries affordable women's shoes and often are of the trendy variety. My wife doesn't like to spend a fortune on trendy shoes that will be out of style by next season so she visits Baker's for affordable trendy styles. They carry a variety of shoes and accessories.

Milford What to Pack

  • cjg1's Profile Photo

    by cjg1 Written Dec 31, 2009

Luggage and bags: Most of our overnight stays in Milford our single nights stays to earn hotel points. If we are roadtripping North we choose to stay further afield than Milford. A simple overnight bag or small rollaboard will suffice.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Depending on the weather: cool clothing for summer months and warm clothing for chilly months. An umbrella is always a must as well as a warm jacket in Spring and FAll; it can get chilly at night.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: My usual bag of shampoo, contacts, lotion, hair gel, deodorant, tooth paste, tooth brush and hair brush.

    Photo Equipment: My digital camera
