Located about 6 miles from downtown, this little museum is located on over 80 acres of beautiful woodlands. There are plenty of walking trails, activity areas for kids and farm animals. We visited the museum to see the work of artist Nathan Sawaya who creates art from Lego blocks. Check their website for current exhibits. For those willing to go on longer nature walks, take the red trail to to the ajoining property of the Bartlett Aboretum.
Every summer, local artists and businesses join up to create a public art exhibit. This year, the theme was painted and decorated cars
In 2001, almost 70 cars were painted and decorate by the artists and put on display on street corners everywhere in downtown Stamford. This is similar to the 'cows' exhibit that was done in Chicago.
My friend Ella is standing next to the Garden of Eden theme car.
In the year 2000, the theme was not cars, but rather cows, just like chicago. Here is one crazy cow.
