    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

The weekend we were there, an art exhibition and sale was being held by local artists and some non-local dealers. The quality, prices and different types of artwork varied in range from poor to excellent. We saw carvings, sculptings, oils and water colors, photos, quilts and other various cloth and needle- threadwork. While some of the art show were probably overpriced, there were also fine works that were bargains, and some have perhaps even gained collector status since that time.

The only thing i could find on the internet about Canaan was the railway staion. It was the oldest working railwaystation in the USA. But when we arrived in Canaan, it turnt out the station was burnt for a great part! Restauration is on its way now.

Ok really anything that is posted a 'tourist Attraction'. These things describe the history of ct but not the beauty. The amusement parks in ct are not that great. However if you are going to vist one Lake Compouce is the best. The lines are short and the food is pretty good.

If you see 'Twain House' in your guide book, don't bother going. Spud was expecting to find the fabulous babe Shania Twain and her mansion but instead it actually belongs to some writer named Mark.
