McShea's is a nice, little Irish Pub on the Beach in Dewey. We stopped by about 1:30am for a few Irish Car Bombs ($6.00 each) on the way back to our hotel. McShea's is narrow with a large bar and a few booths, and more of a neighborhood bar than the meat market that is the rest of Dewey.McShea's also has food, including what is said to be some of...more
On a weeklong trip to Bethany Beach, husband and I (mid 40s) were looking for a dance club in the area. Thought we'd find a fun spot in Rehoboth, but nothing was open or interesting on a Thursday night. Being summer, we figured we'd find something interesting, but the only place obvious was the SharkBoard's Maxim Party in Dewey Beach. With a 300...more

Ladies..beware of horny college guys! I have had to make many 'trips to the bathroom" to run the hello away from wannabe Don Juans. Also...beware of any drunk person holding a drink..they WILL spill it on you!!!
Swim suit, water shoes may be a good idea and bug spay, sand fleas can be troublesome. Sand toys for the kids, you know sand castle molds, kites, games.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Take a cooler on the beach and stock your own water, it gets hot. Bring a beach umbrella, shades a ggod thing!
Photo Equipment: Becareful with your camera, make sure you hide it well out of site or have someone stay with the blanket at all times!
