There are a few ways to get from Dover to Wilmington depending on how much cash you have. Driving is the easiest and most convenient. If you drive on Route 1, expect to pay a few dollars in tolls, and the trip will take 45 minutes. Route 13 has no tolls, but the drive will take over an hour.
Greyhound has a bus terminal located on Bay Road, just north of the AF base.
Delaware Regional Transportation also has buses to Wilmington. Bus 301 is an express but that takes a little over an hour and costs $4.50. Buses depart about every 30 minutes from the Water Street Station.
For local transportation check out Dart to get you around. Very easy to use and there is always a bus going by. So get your change ready and hop on, to save your feet from killing you later.
