Overlooking the stadium

The University of Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens compete in the Atlantic 10 conference in I-AA college football. The program has a rich history, including legendary coach Tubby Raymond who retired in 2002 with 300 wins. Delaware Stadium. New head coach K.C. Keeler took over the reigns in 2002, and brought home the first national 1-AA title in 2003.

Delaware Stadium, erected in 1952 and enlarged prior to the 1964, 1970, 1972 and the 1975 seasons, is one of the finest facilities of its kind in the East and one of the top on-campus facilities in all of NCAA I-AA football. The 22,000-seat stadium received a new look in Summer 2000 as eight poles of permanent broadcast-quality lights were installed by Musco Lighting. In addition, the South End Zone bleachers were replaced.
