Rip Tides by tpangelinan White foamy spots, take a second to read before you swim, the information has saved many lives. You can swim out of a rip tide, but you have to go with it to a certain extent. Kids need constant supervision while swimming here. Leave a Comment

I think that Rehoboth Beach is the most beautiful beach that I have ever been to and of course all the lifeguards are beautiful but the one bad thing about that is that there are so many lifeguards for a reason. The undertoe and the water is very dangerous and in the 2 hours that I was there, three people had to be rescued by the lifeguards because the current took them out too far. It is a wonderful place to travel to and I definately recommend it but the water can be extremely dangerous, if not taken serious enough Leave a Comment

Toll booth backups can be terrible in summer, even at night. Get EZ Pass and use the 65 mph lane. It is soo cool to pass the SUV that cut you off 10 minutes ago.

by acemj Coming down Route 1, be prepared to pay a toll along the road. You don't have to have exact change, but make sure you have some cash on hand as you're driving here. Once you get to Rehoboth Beach, you'll have to pay for parking no matter where you are. I drove around looking for a spot and decided to head back into the neighborhoods 6 or 7 blocks away from the action in order to avoid paying for parking. NO LUCK. I saw a parking meter guy and asked him where to park without having to pay and he said that there is no such place in the city of Rehoboth Beach!! That sucks. If you're going to be here all day, spare yourself the headache of having to come up with quarters for a meter or having the right street permit and head for a lot. There is one on the north end of the beach that charges $7 for the day. From the City of Rehoboth Beach website (cityofrehoboth.com): "Parking permits are required in all non-metered areas of our City from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. beginning the Friday before Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. The parking permit plan has been implemented very efficiently. For more information please contact Greg Ferrese, City Manager, at 302-227-6181" Leave a Comment

by acemj Every few hundred yards or so along the boardwalk, you'll see these signs warning against biking, rollerblading, running and generally having fun!! The biggest danger if you ask me, doesn't come from human behavior, but from the ocean itself. The sign tells you what to do if you get pulled out to sea in a rip current. Basically, don't fight it, because you won't win. If you get pulled away from the shore in a rip current, just let the water take you and when it subsides, swim parallel to the beach until you're out of the current, then swim back to shore. by makiro If you buy a hermit crab in one of the shops, don't get it a shell with bad anime painted on it. The crab may even pinch for you for giving them an ugly home.

"Quack, quack" by acemj These ducks were taking a leisurely stroll by Lake Gerar, but in my opinion, all the crowds and accompanying headaches don't make for a leisurely weekend at the beach. I was here in the heart of the summer (late July) and I found the crowds, traffic and general lack of space to be a little annoying. My sister was telling me that she likes Rehoboth, but she came down with her husband and my nephew in the fall when there were far fewer people to compete with you for a space on the sand.
