ichetucknee springs is a beautiful state park located in north central florida. there are two entrances to the park and to see the springs you must go to the north entrance. ichetucknee springs and river is famous for tubing. in the summer you can tube or canoe from the springs to the pick up point four hours down the river. you can also tube from the south entrance for a hour and a half tube ride. the park also offers hiking trails, swimming, scuba diving, and picnicing. the north tube run is open labor day to memorial day. the south tube run is open year round. check their web site for more information.

conestoga's is located on main street in the historic district of alachua. this southern style restaurant offers steaks and seafood. good food moderately priced.

deneno's is located on the corner of nw141 st and main. deneno's is the most popular restaurant in alachua. the food is very good and moderately priced. reservations recommended.
