    You can rent canoes here or if you have your own canoe or kayak you can launch it for $5.00 It is a great stretch of the Wekiva River, lots of wildlife including alligators, deer, water birds, snakes. The place is a little run down but the river is great.

    kelly park is located six miles north of downtown apopka. it's name derives from dr. howard kelly who gave the land for the park to orange county in 1927. the park has a spring and run that flows ten miles to the wekiwa river. rock springs get's it's name from the large limestone rock that it flows under. rocks springs offers picnic areas, camping, tubing, hiking trails, swimming, and snorkeling. kelly park is one of the orlando area's attractions that most tourists miss when in central florida.

    Spring - Apopka Art and Foliage Festival; Summer - Zellwood Sweet Corn Festival; Fall - Harvest Festival, Kitty Land Park; Winter - Live Nativity and Candle light Services by various religious organizations, Annual Christmas Parade - Park Avenue to Main Street, held the first or second Saturday following Thanksgiving. Wekiva Springs State Park; Rocks Springs State Park ; Kings Landing (Part of Rock Springs State Park); Apopka City Hall and Historical Museum.
    Art and Foliage Festival - NO cost for attending, Parking fees usually run about $3- offers hundreds of craft and art booths, displays and judging of art work from each school, live entertainment and foliage sales. Sweet Corn Festival offers hand shucked sweet corn with plenty of menu items to choose from carnival rides for children and adults, vendor booths and live entertainment from top musicians, Christian and Country artists such as Sawyer Brown, John Anderson, and many others. Prices for admission vary year to year and depend on whether or not you are purchasing dinner . Wekiva Springs State Park -pay per car load $5 all day admission to the springs for swimming, nature trails for sightseeing. Offers canoeing down the flowing spring approx. 5 miles one way for a nominal fee depending upon time used and number of persons, camping is also available and price depends on site and number of tents and persons with free admission to the springs.

    pictured is the swimming area just about about a hundred yards from rock springs. a great place to have a picnic, swim. and enjoy natural florida.
