Aventura Mall. Yes, it is a mall and they are everytwhere, but this place has all the stores you can imagine, plus movies and restaurants. Parking is actually not too bad, but, since its Aventura, be careful driving.

Absolutely the best service in Miami! Plates are whisked away as they become empty. Water glass is never!!!! empty. Food is prepared the way YOU like it. Ask for more Caesar salad and it appears. (with or w/o extra anchovies!) Shrimp cocktail is a meal! You always have to ask for 'The Check, Please'. Aged beef is incredible, fish is always cooked just right and served HOT!

Favorite Dish: Beef, particularly steak and chops

The entrance.

I was there to see my dj friend spinning and to mingle a bit.

The crowd was in their late 20's, and early 30'-40's. It was an elegant place to sit down and mingle. A place for fine dining as well as drinking and maybe dance.

The entrance is usually free. It's almost like a nice restaurant, too.

Dress Code: Casual wear and something nice to wear. I wouldn't go in there with jeans or sneakers.

this is a high traffic area which has more than doubled in population and lacks the road system to support this volume. The new flyover system has made things better but its confusing to first (and second and third) time users. Aventura and neighboring Hallandale also have a large elderly population who are not the most careful drivers

the 163rd Street area west of US-1 has become pretty dangeous. There's little to do here, so not much reason to go, unless you're trying to get on the highway. At night, its a better idea to head up Miami Gardens drive instead.

the Waterways. Its a bit of a stretch for a must see, but this is Aventura, so, relatively speaking, if you've got some time to kill and you've already seen the mall, this is a good idea. Its an area just north of the mall, with a boardwalk leading along the water and a few restaurants. A nice place to get a cup of coffee (there's a good coffee shop here but I forget the name) and spend some time.
