Riverside Cafe is a casual, waterfront restaurant with a huge outdoor deck along a small marina at the edge of the Manatee River. The server for the neighboring table was horrible--even though they arrived before us, we ordered our meals long before...

After 8 or 9pm, even on weekends, Bradenton's Main Street area all but shuts down except for a handful of bars. If you are hungry, walk bar to bar, and ask about food, nothing doing. Even a big bar with a full menu, like the Lost Kangaroo, shuts down its kitchen... what the heck to people do when they are drunk and hungry?Alas, around 10pm a food...

  • O'Bricks Irish Pub - Old Main, Bredenton

O'Bricks has a dumb name, but it is a really nice, new spot in downtown Bradenton. Oh, the only Irish aspect of this Irish pub is that they sell Guinness, otherwise, it is a nice American pub. The bar is really nice, with interior brick walls, high ceilings, rough hewn wood slab bar, huge wooden tables, lots of TVs, and Pittsburgh Pirates and...

  • Old Main Pub, Old Main Street, Bradenton

Old Main Pub is the oldest and most run down of Old Main's several drinking establishments. They do, however, have the advantage of the only late night food in downtown. Bradenton Warnings and Dangers

  • by Psychokiwi Written Aug 24, 2002

    0.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Take extra precaution that you don't hit an old lady. I almost hit one the last time I came. I was driving out of a shopping centre when this lady walks in fron of my car without even looking. Lucky for her and me, I stopped quickly. Most of the seniors here are very nice, but you do run into one that's rude and obnoxious. Also, you don't want to get caught in northeast Bradenton too cause you might get robbed.

Bradenton Tourist Traps

  • by weath1850 Written Jul 24, 2003

the beach fills up fast during the tourist season(october - easter)

    local public beaches-
coquina beach , manatee public beach

    Unique Suggestions: get there early

Fun Alternatives: if you must skip the beach then there is always Desoto National Memorial on 75th street(no beach) or some other attractions only a short drive away(sarasota jungle gardens , etc.)
