Cape Coral Things to Do

  • Visit the Edison & Ford Winter Estates

This is a great place to visit and very close to Cape Coral, maybe 10 to 20 minutes depending on traffic. Lots of history and things for the kids to do. Visit Edison's lab, see his riverboat, gift shop, food, tours and many other thing. Take Route 41 over into Fort Myers and hang a right onto McGreggor Blvd. and it's down just a few miles.

  • Sunset Celebration

It just so happened when I was there, Bob took me to the Sunset Celebration in Cape Coral. Now the shame was the sunset itself was a letdown that night, but the celebration still went on and was very nice. Down at the pier you will find about 40 local artist out with there paintings & crafts, drink specials atKC's RiverStop, live entertainment and...

  • 850 Restaurant Happy Hour - best in...

Wow! Went to 850's Happy three Saturdays in a row after work. Their happy hour is from 3-7 pm everyday. Big bar outside under a tent/roof and an inside bar (real cozy). Tapas menu during happy hour is $5.00 each. Had calamari the first time - overflowing bowl of excellent squid with spicy sauce. Second & third Saturday had Ahi Tuna Bites - was sooo...

  • On the water with a view

Rumrunners is located in southwest Cape Coral in the yachting community of Cape Harbour. Waterfront dining is accessible by car or boat. Views are very pleasant as the restaurant overlooks one of the canals and wetlands. The atmosphere is bright and casual. Menu items include a wide variety of fresh seafood, Caribbean inspired dishes, pasta,...

  • Rude management. Won't be back.

The food is excellent, the servers are wonderful - BUT the Manager of this Rib City is the worst person we have ever met. He has no idea of how he should respond. Because of this (and only because of this) we have to quit going there after more than ten years of loyalty.

  • Best Oysters & Atmosphere

I wanted my giant oysters, again, and meant to make it to the Waterfront Restaurant for the second time, but the locals I met along the way recommended Red’s. I’m glad we listened to them. From the outside Red’s looks like a mid-sized barn turned into a restaurant, and of course, it is painted red. However, inside it’s a neatly adorned, small,...

  • Good seafood

During my first visit to Cape Coral I was dreaming of oysters. Very “kosher” in Israel, they’re impossible to get here, so when I travel I tend to “attack” all the seafood restaurants I can find. Therefore, pretty much every local resident in Cape Coral was asked to recommend a good restaurant with decent oysters in the menu.40 minutes drive and we...

Found some nightlife in Cape Coral on the beach. KC's Riverstop is located at the Yacht Club in Cape Coral, a place to gas up your boat, yourself, fishing pier next to them. This is a great place to catch a sunset and party it up on the beach.

    Go fishin'

Go fishing off the pier, relax and wait for a hit. To my knowledge there is no cost to fish off this pier in Cape Coral. The people were friendly and pulling fish in with no problem. The pier is rather large with plenty of space to spread out. This is also a go place to catch a sunset per tropicdiver when him took me down here.

Favorite thing: At Yacht Club Community Park you can find live music right on the beach. Live banks, jazz, reggae and other type of music. So head down to the Yacht Club at sunset for some live music on the beach
