Stumped on what to bring home to my husband for a souvenir from Orlando, Patty suggested that we stop by Ron Jon's in Cocoa Beach so I could buy him something without a Disney character on it. In retrospect I should have purchased that Grumpy tshirt I was thinking of buying him.....
The Cocoa Beach location of Ron Jon's is open 24 hours a day and there is 52,000 square feet and 2 floors of surfer shopping, surfboards and equipment for the serious surfer and souvenirs ranging from hats, tshirts, keychains, you name it, they have the Ron Jon logo printed on it!
Ron Jon is not a cheap place to buy souvenirs but the tshirts and hats were good quality Leave a Comment

Ron Jon's is a famous surf shop that sells not only surfing gear but beach clothing, shoes, sandals and gift items. The store boasts that they have 2 million people a year visit their store. The store never closes--they are open 24 hours a day (just like the beach). When you walk into the store, all 52,000 square feet of it, is a bit overwhelming to see all sorts of items filling every square inch of the shop. Shoes, sandals, t-shirts, beach cover ups, dresses, sweats and gift items galore.
Ron Jon Surf Shop also has locations in Georgia, Maimi, Fort Lauderdale and California.
There was so much to see but I found a really cool pink surfer girl thermal coffee cup for a friend for less than $9 dollars. I also found a really cool pair of sweatpants but I refrained from purchasing them (I really wanted them though so I found their website but the pants were $6.00 more on line than in the store so again, I refrained from purchasing them.) If you ever have been to Hilo Hattie's in Hawai'i you will find many items that are similar but really Hilo Hattie's is more about the Hawaian clothing and Ron Jon's is more about clothes for water sports. This place has everything, and it is open 24 hours. Anything you need to complete your day at the beach can be found here, and the staff is extremely helpful. It took 2 hours for me to find a swim suit I was happy with and the lady spent every minute making sure I was taken care of. I offered to buy her a drink at the bar for helping me out, since I'm such a hard person to get into a swim suit.
You can find everything at Ron Jon--swimsuits, beach towels, surfboards and accessories, water bottles, stickers, clothing and tons of gifts.
A little more expensive than your average gift shop, but this place is so cool it's worth it! But there is no secret. The reproductions and casts are inexpensive but the prices of true fossils skyrocket. May be excepted the trilobites and the belemites, but there were so common during some hundreds million years...
A T-Rex skull to put in your bedroom to have nce dreams.
Or a trilobite in order to be sure there will be always something older than oneself at home.
I bought nothing but I found several cheap DVD in the adjacent store.
