Mezzanotte is a restaurant and bar, but I prefer it for the nightlife. The food is decent garden variety Italian at marked up prices, but the evening scene is fun. The crowd is older then what you'll find at most places in Coconut Grove, which caters to the college crowd. The musci is turned up and customers begin dancing on the tables. Its a pretty festive scene.
Dress Code: Mezzanotte is more upscale than the rest of the Grove. Shorts are out, but, since the weather often makes people dress more casually, anything from jeans to evening attire is fine.

Helpfulness
Mr. Moes is a typical college bar hangout with decent food and good music. Thursday nights are extremely crowded with the 18-21 set, but Fridays and Saturdays draw a slightly older crowd and a less packed house.
