We went to Burger King for dinner. Bob insisted on going in and ordering instead of going through the drive through - even though we were going to get the food to go and go back to the room and eat it. I went back to the car to wait and in trying to put everything where it couldn't be seen by looking in the car I accidentally leaned on the keys wrong and set the car alarm off.
Had a hard time getting out of the parking lot because cars were backed up at the light.
Favorite Dish: I ordered a salad and he had a whopper, fries and a shake.

There was a thing on the bottom of the TV channel list that said 10% discount at Don & Vinny's, so we went there. It would have been walking distance if we had known where it was and was daytime.
We sat with no service for some time because each waitress thought we were being taken care of by the other one. They didn't even bring us bread for awhile. Then we used the room key to get the discount and THAT had the Pancho's Backyard discount for 15% on the bottom of it which created a bit of confusion.

Favorite Dish: Bob had spaghetti and meatballs for $12.00 and I had the Chicken Roberto with eggplant and mozzarella for $16.00. The food was OK. The bread was good. We didn't have dessert.

The chicken wings are the best around and the raw oysters are superb.Not in the mood for wings or oysters? Well the mahi salad, a bucket of steamers and gater tails will make your mouth water.Combined with the friendly banter among the staff,Sammy, Pops,Lennie,Sean,Karen and the always pleasant Jessie will make you come back time after time.This little " sit at the counter and order" local restaurant is a popular stop for the people of Hollywood, Ft. Lauderdale and Dania since 1966.
Favorite Dish: We usually go for the Thursday special of oysters and wash them down with the wings.The grouper and mahi mahi sandwiches are very good as well.Not to mention the cold barley pop.

I had the seafood gumbo to start and it was incredible. The main entree was grouper and it was extremely fresh and tender. The restaurant is connected to the pier giving you a breathtaking view of the Atlantic. Romantic place for cocktails at sunset and they had a combo playing Cuban music the night we went. My only complaint is that the very noisy kitchen is exposed and you can see the staff swetting as they shout at each other. However, if you get a table to the side, behind the kitchen, you can avoid this pitfall.
Favorite Dish: Grouper, or any "catch of the day". These guys know how to cook fish without frying it to death.

Great place to have breakfast when staying in Dania. The food is bountiful and home-style. Waitresses are sweet and eager to pour you lots of coffee and get your order quickly filled. Has a wonderful bakery on the premises too. People of all age groups dine here and it gets very busy.
Favorite Dish: Eggs over easy and their rye toast is the best I've ever tasted.

This might sound funny, but I'm serious. Be VERY CAUTIOUS when driving in South Florida. The locals here will do thier best to kill you and themselves on the roads here. That's why car insurance costs 4 times as much in South Florida. Be careful, please.

Dania is so close to Ft. Lauderdale that I haven't really considered it separately except for the hotel which is only listed under Ft. Lauderdale.
Want a nice motel that's clean & has a fantastic location? Animal lovers will be delighted to discover monkeys playing in the parking lot. Motel 6 is a very decent chain and gives you a good product...
