The Aquarium Restaurant: Friday evenings in Daytona Beach

by burtonmusic Updated May 3, 2009
my favorite musician in Daytona Beach, Neil F!

I hang out here quite a bit mostly because of the following reasons:
1)It's on the water with a beautiful atmosphere
2)Live entertainment (Neil Freestone plays every Friday 5-9pm so that's my night)
3)Really tasty food at a good price, awesome fish dishes
    4) After 10 it turns into a cool dance club but I'm usually in bed by then, very trendy and colorful - like an Aquarium!

Dress Code: I think you have to wear a shirt and something on your feet, hey just try to look good and don't smell bad.

    boot hill saloon

located just across the bridge on main street is the famous boot hill saloon. originally this bar was called the kit kat club in the early 1900's. the boot hill saloon gets it's name from the cemetery located across the street. their slogan is "order a drink and have a seat, you are better here than across the street". a very interesting and historic biker bar to visit when in daytona beach.

Dress Code: casual (no gang colors).

This is a great bar overlooking the beach. The bandshell is also right there if you're looking for entertainment. The bar itself also has people playing as well. I believe they offer happy hour on most days from 4-7. Was very nice to sit and sip drinks and listen to the ocean. Very friendly staff as well.

This place was great for dinner and drinks and it was easy to get to after a walk down the beach. The food was good and it had a great view.

Dress Code: Pretty much anything goes. It's right on the beach, so a few people stopped in for drinks after spending the day outside. Laid back atmosphere.

    Seabreeze Blvd.: Seabreeze

by Floridachick Written Nov 30, 2006

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Seabreeze Blvd. off of A1A is the place for nightlife in Daytona. There are a variety of dance clubs, bars, high class strip clubs and supper clubs, even stores that stay open late, on or immediately off of Seabreeze Blvd. You can park your car and walk to all the places around or "crawl". Be prepared to see scantily clad ladies abound and guys on motorcycles all around. But all businesses close at 2:30 AM, so plan accordingly. Taxis are available, as well as many police officers, so don't drive drunk.

Dress Code: Everything from club chic to biker wear.

  • Rockin' Ranch: Dancing

    by jerseygirl12 Written Jun 15, 2005
    swing dancing

I love to dance, so when I was looking for a place to go to have some fun, I found Rockin' Ranch. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it is a lot of fun inside. There is a small entrance fee, but drinks are included with that, as well as dance lessons. Depending on the night, you can receive a variety of dance lessons including beginning and intermediate lessons for country line dancing, swing, and salsa. (My favorite is salsa!)
The people there are pretty friendly, and you will find all ages and all abilities there. Every time I have gone, I have had no trouble finding several people to dance with. I have learned a lot of new things, too. This is a must try...8:30pm is when things usually start.

Dress Code: There is no dress code, but wearing clothes would probably be good. Seriously, some people come dressed up, others come in sneakers and T-shirts, and you will find everything in between, too.

Razzle's: Your essential Spring Break stop!!

    by redhed410 Written Jul 14, 2004
Random Guy I just met...Sping Break requirement!

This place always has a special place in my heart because it was the first club I ever went to. During the first week of March you can show up at this place at 8.00pm and it will already be packed!!! And as I've said before, Daytona is wonderful because there has to be about three guys for every one girl. My kinda town!

Dress Code: Typical Club gear. No bandana's except for bike week...but I don't know if I'd want to be there for Bike week anway.

    Froggy's: Drinking....Drinking.....And More Drinking

by jadedmuse Updated Mar 20, 2004

    4.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

As the night wears on, eventually you'll see people removing various articles of clothing that just seem to get in the way of....drinking?!

I've left the X-rated photos at home, but if you go to Froggy's during Bike Week, you'll see for yourself that a shot is worth a shirt.

Or a shirt is worth a shot.

Or whatever - crazy times with loud music, raucous patrons, and call brand booze flowing all night.

Dress Code: Trust me, you can leave the formal attire at home for this one.
