If you are in good physical shape, be sure to climb to the top of the lighthouse. There are 203 steps to the gallery deck. This lighthouse is 175 feet tall and contains 1.4 MILLION bricks!
Be careful -- climbing is not easy! First of all, the staircase is narrow, metal, and circular. So forget about climbing if you are not wearing running shoes. Also, it is humid inside. I am in pretty good shape, but I was out of breath by the time I reached the top.
Hey, you get a certificate if you manage to get to the top! Also, the view is breathtaking. The breeze is so refreshing. Going down is MUCH easier, too! :-D Leave a Comment

I CAN'T AGREE WITH THE TIP ON HALIFAX. MY EXPERIENCES THERE WERE NOT THAT GOOD.
--ALL 3 TIMES. THE FIRST ONE BEING AN EMERGENCY. THE NURSES I HAD VIRTUALLY IGNORED ME AS MUCH AS THEY COULD. IT SEEMED THEY WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY not TO DO ANYTHING IN THE WAY OF COMFORT MEASURES.
ON THE OTHER HAND, I HAVE BEEN TO ORMOND BEACH HOSP. AND THE CARE THERE WAS 180 DEGREES BETTER. DEFINITLEY RECOMMEND IT FAR AND ABOVE HALIFAX. Leave a Comment
