    Daytona Beach is one of the TOP TEN beaches in Florida as nominated by the Travel Channel. You can drive on the beach (at no more than 10 mph) and there are a lot of other activities to do on this beach.

    There are webcams which will show you what the surf is doing on the beach.

    I have survived! Just kidding -- it was not that difficult! I have truly enjoyed climbing to the top and would do it again anytime.

    If you want to climb to the top, be sure to wear comfortable shoes. As you can see, these iron stairs are not "flip-flop friendly". There are 213 steps to the top!

    Also, please don't make young children to climb to the top. When I was was there, one couple really struggled with two toddlers who were terrified of the height and closed space. It is dangerous, too!

    Okay, so in high school my best friend's mom died in a horrible motorcycle accident. Hence, I am a little weary around the things. Bike Week, though is a little less of a celebration of the bikes themselves and moreso of just the general biker culture.
    At first, I was like, "Oh, ***! We're going to be here during bike week!", but I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. The bikers were friendlier than I thought (never judge a big, sweaty, leather-clad book by its cover), and they were actually a lot of fun to be around.
    The only problem with Bike Week was the noise and the crowds, but it was worth it for the experience. Check the website for scheduling and stuff.
