People begging for money

Unique Suggestions: Daytona is the only place in Florida where I get stopped by bums scrounging money. They're invariably guys travelling with a pregnant woman who needs medication....
Perhaps I've just got one of those gullible faces?

Is the tour a waste of money? Maybe.

Taking the tour of the infield at Daytona Speedway was almost a waste of money. I say almost because while the information the guide had was not worth the money, the experience was. Compaired to the number of people that come to races, the infield crowd is small. The tour gives a view of the track from an "inside-out" angle. My advise? If you are making choices on what to spend money on, skip it. We did it once and once if enough. You can get some nice pictures but who really cares how many light bulbs there are around the track?

Unique Suggestions: If you just have to go. Be ready with the camera. You will get a chance to get off the tour coach and take pictures of each other against some nice backgrounds. Also, you will have to chance to see and photograph the stands and locate your seat from the infield angle.

Fun Alternatives: The best alternative? Save your money and find a more unique gift or item to help you remember the visit.

Getting money from an ATM....

Going to an ATM....

That's something that can cost you more money than really neccesary. Depending on where you get it. I've seen ATM's that would charge up to 4 dollar if you'd use them.. If you ad up the cost you're own bank will charge you for using an ATM outside the country.

Unique Suggestions: In the event theres no K-mart, Wall Mart or anything like that closeby just pay by using your credit card or ATM card. Or take a larger amount of money out of the machine...

Fun Alternatives: Better use cash back

You'd be smarter to go to a large shop like K-mart or something and use the cash-back option when buying sometime (for instance some chewing gum :-)). This is free of charge, the only thing you'd pay would be the charges of your own bank. That will save you money you can spend elsewhere.

Calling home from the US.. There are a few ways to call from the US to your friend and family at home..You can put money in pay-phones, call from your hotel, use your mobile or use a calling card.. You can buy prepaid calling cards at shops, gas stations and newsstands. We us a calling (credit) card it can be used from payphones, private phones and hotel phones (beware most hotels charge you for using their phone even when it's a free number). With this card you call a free number and then your card number after this you can call home at a much nicer rate you would get elsewhere. Just visit telegroup.
to see the costs..
The card itself is free no annual fees you'll only pay when you use it
