The photo illustrations the normal transportation options in DeLand. Most people travel around by car. But the Votran bus (Votran stands for Volusa Transportation) or walking is sometimes an option.
There are two bus routes that go to DeLand
Route 60 - Transfer Plaza to Correctional Facility/County Administration Center in DeLand.
Route 20 DeLand/Deltona - Deltona Library/City Hall via Saxon Boulevard to DeBary and from Market Place to Northgate Plaza.
Fares are $1 or less.
DeLand actually does have an airport - the DeLand Municipal Airport-Sidney H Taylor Field which is a remnant left over from the WW II Naval Air Station training facility which was built here. The field is now part of an industrial park and appears to have instructional facilities. It also has a hanger which is the location of part of the DeLand NAS Museum. The plane pictured is being restored as part of this museum
