I went to this little place called xtremeh2o. The guys there told us right where to go (outside the Destin pass slightly to the west) to see the dolphins and sure enough within 10 minutes of leaving the beach we were right in the middle of a whole pod of dolphins, mothers and babies playing jumping and swimming right under our ski. I could not believe how big they were. I definantly recommend anyone going to Destin to check this little company out. Also there is an amazing little seafood restauraunt next door called Dewey Destin's Seafood. You eat out over the water. There was redfish swimming under the dock where we were eating. Pretty Cool. This area of Destin took me back in time. Made me think of what Destin used to be like.
I was lucky enough to ride on Olin Marler's Miss Florida last week. The tour guide, Glenn, is an older man in his 80's who has lived in Destin from the beginning. He gave a fun narrated tour of Destin's history and the harbor. My children were treated respectfully and they even got to steer the boat with the captain. About an hour into the trip, we saw a small school of bottle nose dolphins. They jumped out of the water and put a little show on for us! It was a great time and my children will never forget this moment. I recommend this for anyone who comes to Destin. It was inexpensive and it was a great experience.
Fun for the entire family! The folks that run this attraction are fantastic! You can take a day trip but I recommend the sunset trip. You get the best of both worlds, up close and personal with the dolphin and then a beautiful sunset to end your excursion. Not to mention a ride in a "cigarette" boat that is so darn fast it blows your mind! Trip includes all the beer, wine, soda you can drink. Kids even get to drive the boat once out in open waters. You get soaked so wear something casual that dries well. They always have coupons which make this an even greater value.

This is a two or three hour boat ride starting at AJ's restaurant. Its fun, they serve beer/wine which makes it more fun. The kids really enjoyed it. We got to see dolphins!!!!! Watch out for the ice cold water guns.
see dolphin and seal shows! watch sharks and sea turtles swim around! see penguins and so much more!!!this little attraction has a lot to offer!!!! :)
we took my cousins who were 3 at the time and they couldnt get enough of it. staff is great and its not big enough to get lost or to have to fight off people for a seat at the shows.
On one of our trips to Destin we decided to take a dolphin cruise. We went with the Southern Star Dolphin cruises which begins at this location. You can call for reservations if you want to ensure your spot on the boat.
We got to see a lot of dolphins on our dolphin cruise. Look how close they got to us! It turns out they really enjoy riding the wake of the boat, so often times they'll ride along with you almost all the way back.
