located next to the hawk's cay resort is the hawk's cay marina. at the marina you can book off shore or back country fishing charters. the marathon area is well known for it's excellent salt water fishing.

If you have kids this is a great place to visit to see the dolphins and sea lions up close. They have several sessions throughout the day and there are different packages you can purchase to see the dolphins up close.

Sombrero Beach in Marathon is a favorite spot to stop. A small white sandy beach with a nice playground and bathroom facilities just off the beach.

This restaraunt seemed very nice when we first sat down. There were little people there because it was around nine with my family.The waitress comes and takes our orders and starts with my brothers. We all get our meals except my brother, who ordered first. The waitress passed our table many times as if we did not exist, so we could tell her what was wrong. After my mom finally got her attention, the woman seemed like she completely forgot it(she did). It took another 20 mins to come out. My brother starts to eat the chicken and a vain pops in it. Then after 15mins trying to get the waitress to our table, she tells us the chicken is free. And then we tell her that some how a vain popped in the chicken because it wasn't cooked properly, and the waitress tells us 'oh yea, that's happend a lot lately'. And walks away

tom's harbor grill is a nice waterside restaurant located next to the marina at the hawk's cay resort. they specialize in local seafood as well as typical american fare. located at tom's harbor is truman's bar that offers live music. very good food and atmosphere moderately priced.

Very laid back. It's open to the waterfront and Marina. All ordering of food is done at a counter and once order is made a character name is given to you. Example: Finding Nemo, Popeye, Little Mermaid, Spongebob, etc. Very fun for the kids.
The very first time I ate here I had the best experience the whole trip to the keys. The food was unforgettable and that's the reason we go back.
Arrive early or don't arrive super hungry because the line can sometimes be long to order.
Which also gives you the extra time to look over their large menu with great choices. Go to eat in the evening for the beautiful view of the sunset.
Favorite Dish: Grilled Terriyaki Mahi Mahi with fresh vegetable.
