the st. sebastian river preserve state park is a sixty square mile wildlife preserve. the preserve has a number of ecosystems of pine and saw palmetto, cypress domes, a strand swamp, and mangroves along the st. sebastion river. the park offers hiking and horse trails. primative camping, and canoeing and fishing on the st. sebastion river. for those interested in wildlife viewing the preserve is an interesting place to visit in southeast florida.
the fellsmere inn is a bed & breakfast inn in a historic 1908 home. the fellsmere inn is also home to the rod and gun restaurant. as of this posting this historic property is up for sale.
the fellsmere historical church was built in 1922 and dedicated as the first methodist episcopal church in 1924. in 1955 a storm destroyed it's bell tower. the church was repaired in 1994 and renamed fellsmere historical church.
