Jackson's Steakhouse, located adjacent to the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale on sophisticated Las Olas Boulevard, carries on the tradition of the great American steakhouses. Jackson's is reminiscent in style of a private men's club with its rich mahogany paneling, high-beamed ceilings, brass trim, marble accents and warm fabrics. The spectacular setting befits the classic steakhouse menu.

This Ice Cream parlor, with it's wacky interior, has been around since 1956. It hasn't moved since the day it opened. Everything there is homemade and nothing short of amazing. A scoop of ice cream is about $2, but weighs in at about a half pound. But don't bother with just a scoop... if you are a large group (4 or more) order the "Kitchen Sink" which consists of more ice cream then you can consume in one sitting along with as many toppings as you can imagine. Don't worry if you can't finish, they will pack it up in doggy bags. This ice cream is not to be missed. I hear they have food as well, but who has room for dinner when there is ice cream to be had?
