I ended up spending most of my time and money at T.J. Maxx (I know, surprised me too). If you have some extra time to look through the store, you can find some of the best deals anywhere. FLEA MARKET
Depends what you want and where you go! There are always great sales one place or another...always check the newspaper! Also, Sawgrass Outlet offers great merchandise at discount prices...check them out! Word of caution...it is impossible to see all of Sawgrass in one day! Take a water bottle, comfortable shoes & plan to have lunch at the Rainforest Cafe, a most deligntful African safari themed restaurant with animated ceramic animals that "come to life" as you eat! It is a big hit with teenagers and youngsters, too. (I confess I fall into neither category, but always get a big kick from eating there!) ALSO...I am not usually big on flea markets, but we have a really unsual one that is tons of fun! It is called the Swap Shop and it has indoor shopping as well as an outdoor HUGE flea market. The best part of all is that it has a CIRCUS on site that performs daily! Lots of fun, don't miss it! Leave a Comment

The Las Olas area is a great shopping spot. Take the New River Water Bus and get off at Las Olas, walk out to street and turn left. Walking west on Las Olas to the Riverfront hotel and turn and head back in the other direction to bridge. If you continue over the bridge there are also terrific shops and restaurants.
This is a great place to people watch and to look in galleries. Seldon Seen Gallery on the North side of Las Olas is a guest favorite fill with arts and crafts.
Be sure to check with your hotel or the newspaper to see if one of the three annual Las Olas Art Fairs are going on. It is really crowded there then and in my opinion not as enjoyable. Leave a Comment Theme: Art

I have to admit that I did not buy anything in this store. I only went in it because Jason told me that they had a huge fish tank in there. When I found it I was shocked. The tank what taller than me and about 20 feet wide. It was loaded with all sorts of local fish. Kids were gathered all around it making fish lips and them. I read that the aquarium holds 30, 000 gallons of water.
From what I remember this store has all anyone could need or want to satisfy their outdoor sporting needs.
The store is open 364 days a year Monday-Saturday 9 AM till 10 PM and Sunday 10 AM till 7 PM.
Anything you need to play in the great outdoors.

If you are into funky don't miss Gateway Plaza shops. Jezebel is a personal favorite with funny cards, funky and retro fashion, soaps, ornaments, etc. Like a trip to a shopper's theme park! Clothes Encounter further down is very cool, gay friendly and well just plain friendly. A t-shirt favorite for my young adult children. Antiques, pet boutique, soaps and art round out the whole area.
