Walgreens is a pharmacy store chain throughout the US. We used this Walgreens during our last stay in Fort Lauderdale. We were in town for a convention and wanted to have snacks and drinks available in our room. We purchased some bottles of water as well as some candy and snacks.
Later in the week we also purchased some burn cream for my wife. She had fried her hand on one of the buffet heating lamps and was in need of a prescription. Fortunately they had what she needed and she was soon on the mend.

Some very rich people live in Ft. Lauderdale and these boutiques cater to them. The prices can be unaffordable, but not unreasonable. Window shopping is OK; the shop keepers are not snobs.
Who knows? You might find that perfect pencil skirt that you have been looking for.

The Swap shop is located about 30 minutes bus journey from Fort Lauderdale and it's about a square mile of bargains. Well worth a visit.
What to buy: You can buy almost any-thing.
What to pay: Clothes and shoes are a lot cheaper than the shops

The Princess Cruise line allows passengers to bring aboard wine and champagne. Liz and I decided to stop into this store to see if we could find some of our favorites to bring on the cruise. The store is massive with a large selection of beer, wine, champagne, hard liquor and beer. They didn't carry everything we were looking for but we had found a few wines and a champagne we liked.
What to buy: We purchased two bottles of white wine, a bottle of champagne, a canvas wine bag and a cork screw.
What to pay: The NV Perrier Jouet Grand Brut was $39.99
The Torrontes Mendoza was $8.99
The Argiolas Vermentino di Sardegna Costamolino was $16.99
The canvas carrier was $2
The wine opener was $1.99

The Photo Shop is where you can have your pictures developed from your camera or to purchase some professional pictures that you have taken on the ship. The professional pictures are in racks and divided by dining room and stateroom level. There are so many oportunities for a professional picture: when arriving on board, sail away, at each port diembarkment, formal nights, dinner and the promenade carnival.
We like purchaseing the professional pictures since it is very rare we have a picture of the two of us together.
What to pay: $10 for the large 8x10 photographs.

I have to admit that I did not buy anything in this store. I only went in it because Jason told me that they had a huge fish tank in there. When I found it I was shocked. The tank what taller than me and about 20 feet wide. It was loaded with all sorts of local fish. Kids were gathered all around it making fish lips and them. I read that the aquarium holds 30, 000 gallons of water.
From what I remember this store has all anyone could need or want to satisfy their outdoor sporting needs.
The store is open 364 days a year Monday-Saturday 9 AM till 10 PM and Sunday 10 AM till 7 PM.
What to buy: Anything you need to play in the great outdoors.
What to pay: it's up to you

The store is very large. The clothes are shared between Men, women and children. For each type of clothes the goods are ordered by size.
But the proportion of hugly clothes is important. So be prepared to search.
The best brands are generaly put at the entrance of the store, near the cash registers.
The rolleys have a pole to be seen when they are left between two lines of clothes.
What to buy: Clothes and fine jewelry.
What to pay: Very cheap.

Don't call this place a flea market. It is so much more and it is definitely not for the faint of heart. It's hot, noisy, grimy and loud. But the Swap Shop has it all. South Florida is a haven for every imaginable upper crust bling. If you can't get the real thing, you can get a reasonable facsimile and you can definitely get it here.
What to buy: My personal favorites are the perfume vendors and the Haitian and Jamaican produce sellers. Buy something exotic like Bacalao and they will even tell you how to cook it!
What to pay: The word is haggle. Offer the sellers less and strike a deal. Try to look and act like a local.

The Las Olas area is a great shopping spot. Take the New River Water Bus and get off at Las Olas, walk out to street and turn left. Walking west on Las Olas to the Riverfront hotel and turn and head back in the other direction to bridge. If you continue over the bridge there are also terrific shops and restaurants.
This is a great place to people watch and to look in galleries. Seldon Seen Gallery on the North side of Las Olas is a guest favorite fill with arts and crafts.
Be sure to check with your hotel or the newspaper to see if one of the three annual Las Olas Art Fairs are going on. It is really crowded there then and in my opinion not as enjoyable.

If you are into funky don't miss Gateway Plaza shops. Jezebel is a personal favorite with funny cards, funky and retro fashion, soaps, ornaments, etc. Like a trip to a shopper's theme park! Clothes Encounter further down is very cool, gay friendly and well just plain friendly. A t-shirt favorite for my young adult children. Antiques, pet boutique, soaps and art round out the whole area.
