The boat itself sucks particularly the bathroom on board. The cruise is nice though. We went at night down millionaires row, river walk, and then to some private island. There they fed us chicken ribs shrimps and fries. Afterwards a show was put on for us that was decent and funny then we went back. The captain aboard the ship was funny too. All in all I would say it was pleasant.
Go for a leisurely ride on the Jungle Queen, a paddle steamer that takes you up the canal past luxurious houses, famous people live along this stretch of water, and at night, some of them put on all the lights, open their doors, and you can see the opulance inside.
It stops at an island where great long tressle tables are laid out and you are served with the most delicious food. The Ribs, were truly finger lickin'. There is also some entertainment laid on.
Then it is a leisurely ride back to the mooring.
I do hope this has not changed since I was last there, if indeed it has, would you VT'ers please let me know and I will delete the information if incorrect.
The tour took us through the canals giving us an excellent layout of the waterways. We went past 'millionaire row' where you can see the many mansions on the waterfront. The guide gave a very interesting narrative.
They took us to a little island where we deboarded and were able to watch an alligator show and view several exoctic birds and monkeys.
We did three different boat tours while on this vacation. Even though this one was by far the most crowded it was the best over all. Ask for a 'window seat' so that you can get great pictures. Check out their web site.
