Fishing. This is just the catch from one boat which was out in the gulf for approximately 4 to 6 hours. The fishing is really great March through the end of October but you can fish all year round. The boats are not really expensive except depending on what you want to catch. You can fish from the beach, a license is required, you can fish from the pier, license are not required because it is in your fee. The fee for fishing on the pier for 24 hours is around 8 us dollars.
Great fun. You do not have to keep the fish but if you choose to keep the fish several restaurants will cook them for you and serve all side dishes for approximately 5 us dollars. This does not include drinks.

Feeding the seagulls. They are always ready for a free meal. We feed them bread or crackers. They will hover beside you until you extend your hand for them to eat. They come in large groups and can be quite noisy.
It is free except for what you choose to feed them. They are all over the place.

People having fun of the beach. This is a resort area so the beaches during the summer are full of people. Of course with sugar sand beaches and crystal clear water, warm temperatures, why would you not enjoy it.
The prices for the accomodations, food and attractions are not cheap but when you live in paradise everyone wants to become a part of it, if only for a day, week or month. I am lucky that I live here.

Here is beachdave waiting to photograph the sunrise. I must admit that it was early in the morning and in my hands were 2 cups of coffee. One for me, one for Jeri who was taking the picture. It does not appear that way but 'O well'. This picture was actually taken on the beach on the Atlantic Ocean at Mrytle Beach, SC. I just wanted to include it here.
It was not free. We were camping and the time was the fourth of July which in the us is a very expensive time but we enjoyed it. That is what is most important that no matter what the cost you find that you receive something for your investment.
